At St. Anthony Eagles' Nest, we prioritize a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students.
Leaving your infant in our care is a big step and to assist families in this transition we provide open communication throughout the day via the Lillio app. Here parents can receive updates on feeding times, diaper changes, sleep schedules, photos / videos, communicate with teachers etc. throughout their child's day.
SAS Families, mark your calendars and join us for our Meet the Teacher events as we eagerly await the start of another outstanding school year.
Families may drop of their school supplies during this time to allow for an easier first day of school.
There has been much conversation in our diocese regarding our Catholic Schools and what will happen after Spring Break. We pray the Lord will protect our families from the devastating effect of the Coronavirus. It has been determined by the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Sr. Cindy Mello, along with Bishop Flores and Bishop Aviles, the following guidelines will be in affect after Spring Break for all Catholic Schools in the Diocese. Schools will remain closed the week of March 23 – 27, 2020. · All students should stay home. · All students will have an excused absence. · Instruction will be given by each campus by means of: i. Take home packets (that will need to be picked up at the schools) 1. Packets and online instruction will be ready for parents on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. More information on times for packet pick-up will be communicated via Remind on Friday, March 20, 2020. ii. Google Education, online instructions, etc. · All school events will be cancelled until further notice. · Schools will do a thorough cleaning and disinfecting before opening. · We anticipate reopening March 30, 2020 but because the virus can change our status at any given time, we will keep you updated. · IOWA testing will be postponed at this time. We continue to follow the directives from our Bishop, and follow his recommendations as he stated in his letter – “Let us pray for one another, for the sick and vulnerable, and for those who care for them; let us be generous and kind in our responses to one another; let us take to heart the advisories of health officials, and let us use our common sense.” For more information from the various agencies, please visit the following links: · CDC | Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) – https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html · CDC | Frequently Asked Questions – https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/faq.html · Texas DSHS | Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) – https://dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/ · Cameron County Public Health – https://www.cameroncounty.us/publichealth/ · Hidalgo Health & Human Services – http://hchd.org/
